Long Beach Comic Con 2014

Last weekend we attended LBCC and it was pretty cool. This is the first year I attended as a guest (more on that in a sec) which was a relief cause we finally took our time to walk down Artist Alley and say hi to some friends. When you're tabling at a show, you don't have that luxury.

And on Sunday I went to my first panel, Comics Alliance: Hire This Woman. This was moderated by Janelle Asselin and the other panelists included Barbara Kesel, Jody Houser and October Crifasi. It was a lot of fun; these ladies are mighty impressive so I was very honored to be there. Can't wait to do another one!

LBCC '13 Recap - Last Show of the Year!

It's been a fun filled year of conventions (we did six!) and Long Beach Comic Con ended it all. This has always been an intimate show where local fans would come out for a day and check out artist alley or go to a panel. This show used to be in October, hence the Horror aspect, but since it's been pushed to the end of November I suspect that affected the attendance. However, we did talk to a lot of comic creators, met up with industry friends and sold a decent amount of art prints and comics. All in all, no complaints here.

As for next year, it'll be exciting that's for sure. We've been developing more stories and some new projects are already on the horizon.

1 Night on Earth Anthology - Printed

I finally received the micro-anthology in the mail and it looks amazing! The cover artist, Giovanna Terrone did an excellent job. Kudos to Christopher Kosek for designing it too!

Long Beach Comic Expo 2013

The third annual Long Beach Comic Expo was this past Saturday. We've gone all three years, but this was only our second time tabling. It's one of our favorite shows and it's mostly because it is such an easy convention for us to do. It's only one day, it's smaller and more manageable then larger shows, it still has a great line-up of creators, and best of all, we get to go back home at the end of the day! Hey, the little things add up ;-) So here are some photos from a fun day in Long Beach.

Also, just a reminder, if you live in Los Angeles but couldn't make it to Long Beach, you'll have another chance to catch us next Saturday (May 18th) when we'll be signing at Collector's Paradise in Pasadena from 12-3. Hope to see you there!

Long Beach Comic Con 2012: It's a Wrap!

Long Beach Horror & Comic Con has ended and so has our convention season :'(  In our first year of exhibiting we managed to table at six shows. While that might not seem like a lot, it sure does feel it! Going all the way back to February when we tabled at our first show, LA Zine Fest, we were nervous. We had no idea what we were doing and didn't know any of the other creators. And now, ten months later, we couldn't be more excited to go to shows, see familiar friendly faces and show off our comics. A huge thanks to all the great people we've met this year, you've made this an experience that we won't soon forget. We look forward to more good times next year!

Long Beach Comic Con Nov. 3&4

The Long Beach Comic Con is coming up this weekend! It's our last show of what has been a really exciting year for us. We've attended every year of the Long Beach Comic Con since its inception and have enjoyed ourselves each time. The show is a nice, manageable size with a good variety of publishers, creators and vendors all in a hassle-free location (a.k.a. easy to park!). So it should be fun to be on the opposite side of the table this time around. If you're planning to attend, please stop by and say hi to us at Table 1406.
