Made At Meltdown Event

Hi Everyone!


It's been a while we know, but we've been really busy this year. But, there's an event happening in Downtown LA tomorrow called Made At Meltdown, in reference to Meltdown Comic Shop that closed earlier this year.

Way back when, the first comic I made (By The Slice) was created while taking a class at Meltdown U, taught by Jim Higgins. So everyone who took that class and has since then published other comics will be at A Shop Called Quest from 2-5.

Thanks to Rylend Grant who put this all together, we'll be signing, doing panels, podcasts, and there's food trucks as well.

Sherman Oaks Expo - August 17th

A few weeks ago, we attended the first ever Sherman Oaks Expo. It was hosted by the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks and presented by DJ's Universal Comics!

It was a one day show where local indie creators got the chance to sell their comics, talk to fans and meet new readers from the area. Like our friends Jared Sams and the Penguin Vs Possums team, we were excited to table at this event and hope to see more in the future.

LBCC '13 Recap - Last Show of the Year!

It's been a fun filled year of conventions (we did six!) and Long Beach Comic Con ended it all. This has always been an intimate show where local fans would come out for a day and check out artist alley or go to a panel. This show used to be in October, hence the Horror aspect, but since it's been pushed to the end of November I suspect that affected the attendance. However, we did talk to a lot of comic creators, met up with industry friends and sold a decent amount of art prints and comics. All in all, no complaints here.

As for next year, it'll be exciting that's for sure. We've been developing more stories and some new projects are already on the horizon.
